Amid drought conditions, flames in a burn barrel hopped to a house and a shed near Cortez in southwest Colorado.
No injuries were reported in Wednesday's blaze. The property was a total loss.
The Lewis-Arriola Volunteer Fire Department said: "It is extremely dry this year, please use caution when using a burn barrel and insure it has a proper screen on the top." [Photos: Lewis-Arriola Fire]
