SLIPPERY RIDE NEAR TELLURIDE INJURES DRIVER

An SUV rolled off a switchback on Imogene Pass near Telluride on Thursday, the San Miguel County Sheriff's Office said.
The driver and sole occupant was transported to Telluride Regional Medical Center. The man, age 58, from Phoenix, reached the pass from Ouray County. He is expected to survive. Officials said: "Imogene Pass has not yet opened for the season on the San Miguel County side, though it is open in Ouray County ... There was no signage indicating the pass status in San Miguel County."
