TRAPPED IN DITCH FOR 'NEARLY 24 HOURS' IN WHEAT RIDGE

Firefighters rescued a man trapped for almost a day in mud and water at the bottom of a 15-foot construction ditch in Wheat Ridge.
A passerby heard him calling for help Saturday night. "It's believed he may have been there for nearly 24 hours, unable to get anyone’s attention," West Metro Fire said. He was transported to hospital. The incident occurred near North Crossing Drive and Clear Creek Drive. [Photo: West Metro Fire]
