ARREST IN HIT & RUN THAT KILLED TODDLER IN ERIE

Seth Kirkegaard, 31, has been arrested on charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident that killed a toddler in Erie earlier this year, police said. Kirkegaard, of Eire, was taken into custody Saturday as the "primary suspect" after a lengthy investigation, police said. He was initially considered a person of interest. The case was then referred to the Weld County prosector. The child was 2. The tragedy occurred near Mountain View Blvd and Village Vista Drive on Feb. 15. Charges include leaving scene of an accident involving death, a felony.
