Hikers discovered the remains of a man who went missing three years ago in Canon City, officials said Tuesday.
Shawn Michael Dixon Sr. was last seen stepping out of a taxi near Rudd Park on Sept. 12, 2023, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, which is handling the case.
Dixon, born in 1978, was supposed to meet his family that evening at Triangle Park. His remains were found near Skyline Drive in Canon City on July 19.
