COPS ARREST SUSPECT IN RANDOM TRAFFIC SHOOTING IN AURORA

Jose Daniel Ledesma, 35, faces charges of attempted second-degree murder in a brazen, random shooting at the East Mississippi Avenue ramp onto northbound I-225 in Aurora, police said. The suspect allegedly stepped from a silver Dodge Charger, pointed a gun at another motorist, fired a single shot - and drove off. Both cars were stopped in traffic. The victim, age 65, wasn't hit and told officers that "there was no contact, nor confrontation before the shooting occurred and he believed he was randomly targeted," police said in a press release issued Friday. Even so, the man had the presence of mind to recall the license plate number of the Dodge Charger. A police SWAT Team arrested the suspect at his home in Commerce City on Wednesday. The shooting occurred on Aug. 3. [Photo: Aurora Police] Can you spare $12/year? Support the Daily Sketch. Support Local Journalism. Click here.
