OFFICER DIES WAKEBOARDING AT LAKE PUEBLO

Corporal Stephen Biggs of the Pueblo Police Department died Sunday in an off-duty wakeboarding accident at Lake Pueblo State Park, officials said. Biggs - who joined the agency in October 2010 - served as a Patrol Training Officer and a member of the SWAT team. He received 10 letters of commendation, three Medal of Valor awards and the Distinguished Service award. “Working with Stephen was an honor, and his loss is deeply personal,” Police Chief Chris Noeller said. “His courage, dedication, and commitment to his fellow officers meant so much to our department."
