PERSON DIES IN APARTMENT FIRE IN FORT COLLINS

A person was pronounced dead after being pulled from a burning apartment in Fort Collins on Tuesday.

The incident occurred the 1000-block of Cunningham Drive, according to Poudre Fire Authority.

"Firefighters located the person, carried them to a safe location and began CPR," officials said. "A cat was also found deceased inside the unit."
There were no other casualties. A person in a neighboring apartment call 911 after smelling smoke. "Our hearts and thoughts are with all those affected by the loss," officials said.
