A fake bomb forced the evacuation of the Colorado state capitol building on Wednesday, the state patrol said.
A suspect was identified.
The suspicious device - which was "designed to look like an explosive device" - was discovered on a windowsill outside the Capitol's east entrance, the patrol said.
The Denver bomb squad determined the item "was found not to be a threat to the public," the patrol said.
The fake bomb was found at about 10:34 a.m. and Lincoln Street and 14th Avenue were closed to traffic during the incident.
