A stolen pickup truck plowed into a church garden after leading police on a wild chase in Aurora, officials disclosed Thursday.
The driver and a passenger were arrested following early Tuesday's mayhem, which began near East Colfax Avenue at North Havana Street when the pair spotted police cars and sped off.
The chase ended at Del Mar Circle when the vehicle rammed into a pergola, "got stuck on a high-centered garden bed" - and almost stuck two officers while attempting to back out of the mess, officials said.
The truck was taken from Denver. Officers seized two firearms inside the vehicle, one of which was reported stolen. "Multiple attempts were made to safely stop the eluding suspects, including stop sticks," officials said.
