Police arrested a suspect after an argument between two men led to gunfire in the parking lot of Rangeview High School in Aurora. No one was injured.
Tuesday's incident occurred at about 3:45 p.m.
"The investigation so far has determined two men got into an argument over an apparent road rage incident," police said. "Both men were there to pickup students, who are family members."
The suspect sped off from the school at 17599 East Iliff Avenue.
"Utilizing Flock automated license plate readers, city-owned cameras and drones as first responders, keen-eyed Aurora police employees assigned to the Real Time Information Center were able to locate the fleeing vehicle and relay its location to responding officers," police said.
The suspect was taken into custody and officers recovered a firearm.
"Rangeview High School was placed on a secure perimeter for about 10 minutes," police said. "School dismissal was delayed."
