Two elk hunters missing for almost a week in the Rio Grande National Forest in southern Colorado are dead, reports said Thursday.
Andrew Porter, 25, of Asheville, North Carolia and Ian Stasko, 25, of Salt Lake City, were last seen Friday, according to the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office.
They were found two miles from the Rio De Los Pinos Trail Head. Their car had been located shortly after they vanished.
The area had been gripped by bad weather. More than 170 people joined the search, the sheriff's office said.
