SHE JUST SWUNG IN FROM OMAMA
Keoki, a female lar gibbon, moved into the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs after residing in Omaha. "Her captivating eyes, tiny nose and adorable hairdo are quickly melting hearts," the zoo says. Keoki, age 8, "will gently take pitted cherries from her care team and make soft cooing sounds while she eats them" and "0ne of her favorite spots in her new home is a hammock high up in her habitat," the zoo says. Lar gibbon are endangered primates native to tropical forests of Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand, the zoo says. [Photo: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo]
