PEDESTRIAN STRUCK IN COLFAX HIT & RUN; TRUCKER DIES ON I-25

UPDATE

A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday evening by a hit-and-run SUV on East Colfax Avenue in Aurora, police reported.

The tragedy occurred between Laredo Street and Chambers Road and the victim, a man, died at the scene, police said. A suspect, Daryl Murray, 32, was arrested in Denver with the aid of Flock traffic surveillance cameras, police said. In another tragedy Tuesday, the driver of a semi-truck hauling a flatbed trailer was killed when the vehicle crashed through a guard rail and rolled over on northbound I-25 in Larimer County.

The truck driver was thrown from the wreck, the state patrol said.
