A hit-and-run driver struck and seriously injured a stranded motorist attempting to flag down help, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The accident occurred on Highway 285 in Park County on Sunday night following an earlier crash. The victim, a woman, was airlifted to hospital.
The patrol said: "Investigators believe the vehicle that fled the scene is a black 2011-2014 Volvo S60 with temporary tags and may have damage to the passenger side mirror."
