Rick Edward Murphy has been sentenced to 52 years in prison for holding a family hostage in their home in Fort Collins on Dec. 12, 2022, prosecutors said. A pedestrian was struck by an auto Sunday at Quincy Street and Wadsworth Boulevard in Denver, police said. A person was shot Sunday in the 500-block of North Lowell Boulevard in Denver and "self-transported" to a hospital. A body was found Sunday in the 3900-block of North Colorado Boulevard in Denver and the coroner's office is investigating. A large fire broke out Sunday at a recycling yard near Tejon Street and Iliff Avenue in Denver.
