Owners of a Denver bar have been ordered before the city's licensing agency regarding allegations of harboring sex workers.
The Denver Post and CBS News Colorado identify the venue as La Mecca Sports Bar at 2915 West Mississippi Avenue.
"Whether you're a liquor license business or anything else that's required to have a license in this city, we want to protect health, safety and welfare," Eric Escudero, of the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection, told CBS.
The Denver Post said court records show a woman approached an undercover police officer's vehicle outside the bar and offered “culear” — Spanish slang for sex - for $300.
The bar's owners didn't return media calls for comment.
