ALL ABOARD! FRONT RANGE RAILROAD LINE DUBBED 'COCO'

The future Front Range passenger rail line, running between Pueblo and Fort Collins, will be called the Colorado Connector - or "CoCo."

Almost 26,000 residents cast votes in a contest to select a name. The other nominees were Front Range Express Destinations (FRED), Colorado Ranger and RangeLink.

The line between Denver and Fort Collins is expected to open in 2029. The full line to Pueblo is expected to be in service by 2032.

"The Colorado Connector reflects exactly what this train is about: bringing communities together and creating a faster, cleaner and more convenient way to travel across our state,” Governor Jared Polis said Monday at Denver Union Station.
