The federal government approved Colorado's plan to import lower-cost prescription drugs from Canada, the governor's office announced Monday. The state's Drug Importation Program has the potential to save residents about $46 million over three years in lower health insurance premiums and out-of-pocket expenses.
Governor Jared Polis called on drug companies to "stop ripping off consumers with inflated drug costs by putting profits over people."
