ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE IN JULY 4 SHOOTING

Cletus Rinebarger, 68, was charged with attempted first-degree murder in an Independence Day shooting in Alamosa County, the sheriff's office said Tuesday. The victim was transported to San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center and transferred to a Front Range hospital. The suspect was booked into the Alamosa County Detention Center.
