An auto struck and fatally injured an adult male bear Wednesday in Lone Tree.
The incident occurred at Yosemite Street and Heritage Hills Parkway.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife said its officers "tranquilized the bear in order to assess its health and prognosis. Unfortunately, the bear died from internal injuries."
